New Kuta Golf is Indonesia's first genuine links-style course, spread across Pecatu Indah Resort in Pecatu, on the Bukit Peninsula at Bali's southern tip. Designed by the renowned US firm Golfplan (Ronald Fream, David Dale and Kevin Ramsey), this 18-hole, par-72 layout is defined by limestone cliffs, sweeping panoramas of the Indian Ocean and undulating fairways of Seashore Paspalum turf. Its celebrated 6th hole, "Freams Island" (a par 3 with an island green surrounded by sand), and the 15th, "The Cliff Hanger," with its 240-degree ocean views, are counted among the most photographed holes in the world. Just about 20 minutes by car from Ngurah Rai International Airport, it is as convenient as it is spectacular.
