Palm Springs Golf & Beach Resort is one of Indonesia's rare 27-hole golf-and-beach resorts, stretching along the Nongsa coast in the northeast of Batam Island. It was designed by American legend Larry Nelson together with IMG, and its three nine-hole courses—Palm, Resort and Island—each have their own distinct character. The first nine holes opened in 1989 as Talvas Golf & Country Club, and the full 27 holes were completed in 1995 as Palm Springs. Just a short ferry day trip from Singapore, and with the 14-room Palm Lodge and a beachfront restaurant, it is also well suited to stay-and-play golf.
